Orla (genitive form of Polish ''Orzeł'', meaning Eagle) - is a Central European coat of arms, it was originally borne by a wealthy family of medieval German Knights, known as ancient nobility (German ''Uradel''). Since the medieval period, its house members have also served and settled in the Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia in Lodomeria (Volhynia) a vassal state of the Kingdom of Hungary, and Poland since the reign of King Jogaila whereupon family and clan members settled in the Silesian duchies of Oświęcim and Zator, as well as the Duchy of Poznań. The coat of arms is known under various specific family and clan house names, and with minor shield variations. The specific ''Saszor'' family coat of arms is also found as a member in the Order of the Golden Fleece (''Ordre de la Toison d'Or''). ==History==
